Our objective is support of development projects which are supported by the local people.
It will be projects which will structurally contribute to developing underprivileged areas,
in which the underprivileged children and women are the most important targets.
The foundation started out of the Egyam Orphanage Foundation Ghana. A lot of goals were reached within 5 years. The children are fine, the building ready and there is enough back-up for exploitation and schooling. The Egyam Orphanage Foundation will go on as it was and is and takes care of the orphans.

Because of the poverty in the communities around the orphanage, we decided to help these people, by helping them (especially the children) by setting up projects.
The second project will be the school in Egyam. There more than 1000 children in the primary and secondary school. The children of the orphanage also go to this school.
The Junior High School (J.H.S.) is in a terrible state and needs to be renovated. Asbestos roof is broken which can cause lungcancer, rooms are devided by bamboo.

There are only 4 toilets for more than a 1000 children. Because of this, the children do their needs in the bushes. This causes diseases like dysentery, cholera, diarrhea. Which can even lead to death.
Soon there will be 6 toilets ready in the renovated old block and 5 next to the abondoned block. There are also new urinals made.
The compost of the toilets can be used for agriculture
The
carpenters, masons, tiler, painters are people of the communitiy, so we
can stimulate the economy, although they work for a low fee, because it
is for their own children.

In some classes there are more than 110 pupils. On the picture below there is just a part present because of a break. The rooms are so filled, which is not good for their learning, in a heat of more than 40 degrees Celsius and a humidity of more than 90%.
We started the renovation and finishing of the deteriorated, abandoned school building. Primairy classes can be split in two.

On Januari 18th the new water pump systeem and waterstorage is opened by Dolinda and Astrid together with the chief.
There was a bore hole, but did not function the way it should be. As you see on the pictures the people of the communities can get water out of tabs. There is also a high tap, so the bucket can stay on their heads while getting the water and the heavy buckets do not have to be lifted again.
